Education Professional Training Option (PTO)

Offered online to undergraduate students on any USF campus

The Education PTO Minor supports discipline expertise by building knowledge and skills of effective teaching by providing rigorous instruction in creating a safe learning environment in classrooms, effective instructional planning and teaching strategies for diverse learners, and using assessment data to inform instruction with field experiences incorporated into coursework. 

The Education PTO Minor is for students on any USF campus who are not majoring in a traditional teacher certification program. It is designed to help students complete coursework aligned with becoming a certified teacher. It is an approved Florida Department of Education program that can be used toward a
