USF is introducing initiatives this fall to help undergraduate students more quickly identify their career goals 鈥� ensuring they gain real-world experience and helping them land jobs in their fields or admission to graduate school.

While Dana Smith had a close relationship with her great-grandmother growing up, she mostly knew her as a family member who suffered from dementia. That experience inspired her to get involved with the Preventing Alzheimer's with Cognitive Training study.
Community
More than 340 students are members of USF鈥檚 Herd of Thunder, which is part of the School of Music. This is the marching band鈥檚 first performance at a Bucs game in several years.
USF鈥檚 historic invitation to join the Association of American Universities has taken what many in Tampa Bay have once considered a 鈥渂est-kept secret鈥� to an unprecedented new level. Being an AAU member is a tremendous milestone for USF as it formalizes USF's position as a leading research university. USF is the first public university in Florida to be invited to join the AAU in nearly 40 years and is now one of only two institutions from the State University System of Florida to serve as an AAU member.
