Aimee Dietz recognized as a fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Aimee Dietz, PhD, has been selected as a fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Aimee Dietz, PhD, CCC-SLP, associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, has been elected a fellow of the .

Fellowship is one of the highest honors awarded by ASHA and serves as a public declaration of an individual's exceptional professional achievements. To be elected as a fellow, a nominee must have made outstanding contributions to the field of communication sciences and disorders.

Dietz was recognized for her contributions in the following areas:

  1. Research-based contributions to the knowledge base of the professions
  2. Clinical education and academic teaching in speech-language pathology
  3. Administrative service in the areas of speech-language pathology, audiology, and speech-language-hearing sciences

She will be formally recognized during an awards ceremony at the ASHA Convention on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
